Ping Shan Tin Shui Wai Leisure and Cultural Building was built in 2012 by Thomas Wan and Edward Wong in Hong Kong. The main functions of this building are as public library and Indoor Recreation Centre (IRC). It was inspired by civic building with a piazza as a place for gathering. Material used such as Chinese brick and timber in this building are purposely installed to fulfil different functions and spatial requirements of different rooms. The function of fair-faced concrete and COR-TEN steel are used to create balance between modern and suburban texture. The usage of glass exposed a well-being and welcoming atmosphere.
