Introduction

The villa muller was constructed in 1930 according to the concept of Raumplan. ‘My architecture is not conceived in plans, but in spaces (cubes). I do not design floor plans, facades, sections. I design spaces.’ Said Adolf Loos.

The villa muller is composed of different spaces with different functions and different heights. This not only saves space but improve the function of a specific space. When these spaces are linked together in the desired way to form a continuous space.

Both the interior and exterior were designed according to function. The villa is basically a white cube with deep openings as windows, flat roof, terrace. The lack of ordinary windows and the concrete façade separate the interior from the exterior. The lack of ornament praises functionalism that hidden behind the villa.
